Cheerio, everyone.  This week Truth in Politics is brought to you from the other side of the pond, jolly old England.  The Know it All family are on holiday, visiting Mr Know it All’s home country and family.  I thought I’d share with you all the sights and sounds of England.  Over the next few days, I’ll post some of our favorite places, along with news from England that catches my eye.  Its always interesting to read about American news from this side–definitely a different perspective.

So, to start off with, take a tour of one of my favorite manor houses, Harlaxton Manor.  Harlaxton is a study abroad center for the University of Evansville, of which Mr Know it All is a proud alum.  You may recognize it–its been featured in several movies, most recently in The Haunting with Catherine Zeta Jones.  We visted today, and yes, it really is as impressive as it looks.  The little Know it Alls were especially fascinated by the numerous secret passages we were able to explore.

Next, check out the possibile next Lord Mayor of London.  Boris Johnson has thrown his hat into the ring, much to the delight of the national media.  Evidently, he’s quite a character, known for his colorful quotes.  One commenter noted that being his press agent must be like inhabiting the third rung of hell.  Quite.  Check out Boris at the London Times.
