The Flood

I must apologize for the parsity of the blog recently.  Last week we had a minor flood from a bathroom in our basement, missing the computer by inches and filling the basement office and playroom with a moldy, mildewy stench that has made it impossible for Little Miss Know it All to spend much time in the house.  Oh, my darling computer, how I miss thee.

 Until then, check out these two commercials from my favorite presidential candidate, Gov Bill Richardson.  As far as I can see, he’s a candidate without much of a downside, and plenty of experience.  This is not a media-crazed campaign, not one built on tenuous expectations or fleeting adoration, but a solid Democrat with solid experience.  Even better, he knows how to laugh–an invaluable trait in politics.  Anyone can sling mud, but only a few can make us smile.

    Thanks for posting the video of Bill Richardson. It’s nice for a change to see a Democrat who hasn’t had his or her spine surgically removed. I like Richardson, but then it’s hard not to like him when he’s one of the few Democrats who doesn’t talk one way and act another. Still, if the ‘08 election is anything like the last few I’m going to be sorely tempted to vote Green–if only so I can say I’m voting for someone who actually wants my vote.
