Just yesterday they were telling us we’re driving more than ever despite skyrocketing gas prices, but today they’re saying we’re actually at a 26 year low…which one is it?
And watch out, not only are we feeling it at the pump, we’re now feeling it in our waistbands as well. The cost of food has gone up 4%, and yes, gas prices are to blame. As gas prices soar, ethanol becomes an attractive source for fuel. One problem, corn makes ethanol, and with corn in demand, the cost of feeding our future food goes up.

The no-confidence vote on Gonzales won’t carry any weight because it’s the President who has final say on whether he stays or leaves. And Bush has just come out saying he stands by Gonzales because Gonzales has done nothing wrong. Technically that may be true: Gonzales has done nothing wrong because he hasn’t done anything. By his own admission he hasn’t been running the Department of Justice–he’s just been handed memos written by other people and signed them without reading them.
