Truly Important News

Okay, forget politics, lets talk about the really important news these past few days.

Tubby Smith 

First up, Tubby quit!  To all UK fans, this is BIG!  Either you loved him and thought he did alright, or you are rabid with anger over the program’s mediocrity and are thrilled to see him go.  An interesting comment from UK President Todd, “Mitch Barnhart and I have talked extensively about the process for hiring a new coach of Kentucky basketball,” Todd said.  Hmmm, they can say all they want that they didn’t discuss Tubby leaving, but that statement says they’ve talked about how to hire a new coach, and you only hire a new coach when the current one leaves.  Now the really big discussion starts–who will they get to replace him?  Donovan is the obvious big name being bantered about.  What do you think?  Who would you choose?  Vote in the poll to the right, and leave a comment below.

Queen Elizabeth II Second, The Queen is Coming!  If you are a Louisvillian, or a Derby fan, you know this is big news.  The Queen of England and her husband Prince Phillip will be in the country for 6 days, making a stop at the Derby.  Now if only the Queen Mum was still around, she’d really know how to do the Derby.  A drink in one hand, a racing form in the other, and a party in the infield.   With Mr. Little Miss Know it All being a Brit, maybe this year he’ll take a little more interest in this quaint custom we have around these parts called the Derby.

    Ah the good ole days, i hope whoever UK hires is a real big name that can recruit.
